This is like double disappointment. I am both frustrated that the Jags are expecting Trevor to bail them out of awful play once again, and also that Trevor isn’t doing more considering his potential and reputation
What is he supposed to do if they can’t catch passes and avoid fumbles. Even with Press’s stupid fucking fumble drill he does in practice. Trev is not the problem this week, it’s literally everything else besides him and Etienne.
He’s not the problem but damn if I don’t want to see the leadership to become the solution. Go back to throwing to Kirk and Engram like last year if we can’t trust Ridley. Use some of those improv skills that are really good when Trevor isn’t playing so tense.
As much as I pound the table for anticipation and reads and pre-planning… if the coach’s plan ain’t working and you’re Trevor fucking Lawrence, you can go off script and throw to your third read and extend some plays. Like, it’s fine dude. Trust yourself. You have already been doing a great job learning how to play within the system. Now is the time I DO wanna see some ad libbing. Press Taylor sucks, show Doug that.
