How can a false start turn into offsetting penalties with that hypothetical PI that happened? Doesn’t the false start blow the play dead?
Wasnt a false start ultimately, they called an illegal formation. So the play happened, the PI would have offset and it'd have been 2nd and 9. But the ref hand signals are dumb, so false start and illegal formation have the same sign
ah. Thanks for the clarification. False start would have killed it right? How did they lose a down on an illegal formation though? Or did the rams decline it?
Yeah, Rams declined it to keep it 3rd and 9 on the incompletion. False start would have killed it and made it 2nd and 14, which might have been better for the Browns
Lol if you’re getting sacked by Clay Matthews then your offense truly sucks sad for OBJ - got traded from one terrible team to another terrible team browns easily the most overrated team of the season
The only good thing here is that if the browns get the ball back they’ll be forced to run a no huddle hurry up offense.
Browns' playcalling has been bad, but I'd be more worried if I was the Rams. The Browns are missing their entire starting secondary.
Meh. Bad playcalling/play with O-line still sucking. Defense looked good for not having their entire secondary. Still, I'm honestly surprised Browns stopped Gurley and made it close. When I saw the secondary was out, I thought this was going to be a murder.
