My takeaways from this game: 1) It was very apparent how much better Frank Reich is than Dan Quinn. This probably swung me onto the “fire Dan Quinn” bandwagon 2) Colts still desperately need another WR or 2 behind TY, ideally ASAP. Unless Parris or Cain progress a TON in the next couple weeks, I think that position group is still a playmaker or two away from being lethal 3) Big Q and Grady Jarrett are so good. Grady not being on the field for the last drive was the difference between the Falcons having another drive and the Colts icing it 4) Brissett looked really good in the short passing game, but got rattled under pressure. Basically, he’s living up to the billing of being a QB you can gameplan Ws for, but not one who’s going to win the game on his own
I mean, they're down their two best WRs. 2/3 of their DTs and 2 of their primary LB contributors. You take those players away from ANY team that they're going to struggle. This was a game that the Eagles had NO business being in at the end and still...Wentz led them to victory if only one of their WRs stepped up and didn't barf on themselves AGAIN. 7 drops is disgusting. I'm sorry but thats a game winning TD catch on the money if JJ Arcega-Whiteside doesn't shit down both legs.
They have 2-3 of these every year...remember last year against Tennessee? This is Eagles football. They are going to have 2-3 clunkers every single year. They're now going to get boat raced on Thursday by Green Bay and then after that hopefully come back against the Jets healthy (at WR, at least)
