Early season football can be so confusing

 

He’s a streaky and inconsistent receiver that can surprise teams as the third or fourth option but isn’t a good WR2 and regularly makes mistakes that the QB can’t salvage. It’s easy to see why he gets playing time because his run blocking is legit, but he can often be just as much a liability as he can be an occasional red zone and deep threat when he’s seeing a lot of snaps. His whole career backs that up. I don’t think that helps Trevor get over the hump. Trevor will likely keep making dumb mistakes that fans blame only him for if he keeps having to use Gabe as a primary weapon.
