one of the dumbest rules in sports is that that is a touchback

Ugh the worst rule in football which is saying something.

 

This is the rule in football that just simply won’t compute in my head

 

Bad rule to start with, probably a touchback but I don’t think that’s a 100% definitive angle

 

I don't know what the better alternative is. If you fumble a ball into the endzone and it goes out of bounds, it has to be a turnover because otherwise dudes would just be chucking it over the line on those plays at the pylon every time haha

 

Idk I think the rule itself makes sense but 100% of the times it comes up it’s a massive situation lol

It’s terrible. It’s almost entirely arbitrary where the ball goes out of bounds, and that’s the difference between being inside the 5 and a turnover
