yeah Cowboys Deion is still the GOAT defensive back Revis, Ramsey, Darrell Green all very close but no cigar cause they aren’t / weren’t nearly the same threat to score off of interceptions & returns
What, you think Falcons or Niners Deion was better? I feel like Deion was an elite player before Dallas, but he became a legend in Dallas because the team’s culture and media attention was a great fit for his ego / charisma lol
yeah but Dallas was when he started putting up points too lol cause they used him as a returner and receiver too, on top of his existing skills as a pick six-artist that’s where he set himself apart. They don’t make DBs who get in the end zone regularly anymore.
did he? Shit I actually didn’t know that hahaha. my earliest football memory was Deion high stepping towards the end zone in a Cowboys uniform
Yeah I’ve loved Sanders since I was 3 years old haha. Was one of my earliest heroes growing up. I loved football before the Jags existed, I watched those early 90s Cowboys with my dad and Steve Spurrier Gators with my mom, and Deion was my first favorite player.
And then later the Jags drafted Fred Taylor and he became my favorite for life lol. Nothing can disrupt or take away my memories of Fred just going the fuck OFF and having 150-200 yard games live as a Jags season ticket family
Matt Ryan is basically the only Falcons player I have like a deep affinity for since Sanders left the NFL. And I watched him blow a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl so I have no good memories and existence is dull.
Second gen Jags jerseys still the best we ever had. Most iconic. I would be absolutely thrilled if we brought them back even just for a throwback event
Perfect shade of teal, perfect full length Jaguar on the sleeves, perfect stripe on the sleeves and the pants, better jags head logo on the helmet, I liked the numbers and letters font too we had a good thing and we fucked it all up in 2008
Stafford and Calvin were the two I have the deepest affinity to. I got shit this weekend at work because I said I'm glad Stafford is doing well so far and hope he continues to do so, all because they want a higher pick if he sucks. Which, sure it would be nice but that pick was never going to be higher than late 20s.
Sanders was my favorite until Romo probably, and then it became Arian Foster once I started watching Houston. Then Watson...and yeah. Now out of current players it's probably Hopkins, bad vax takes aside he's still who I enjoy watching the most.
yeah at some point rooting for players you like to lose for draft picks isn’t exactly a great trade off, if it conflicts with the fun / emotion of watching those players to begin with the Jags are baaaaad right now but I’d still rather see them turn it around and start playing better than tank again. I mean we already have Lawrence, I want to see him do well more than I want to see another high pick I would easily rather pick in the teens than spend all year watching the Jags look like THIS and ruin Lawrence’s rookie season lol
I can deal with GF stuff being like $1-2 more, but the other day we went to one of our fav pizza places for the first time since before Covid and they charge $5 now for a 12-inch GF crust, am sad
