Allows you to either get a free play (not reacting and snapping when the player is offsides or in the neutral zone for a shot at the end zone) or protect your players (moving when the offsides player is in an offsides position so he doesn't get a free shot at your QB during the free play and play dies before any contact can happen)

 

do you like the free play or nah? When I see it all laid out like this I’m like… getting a free play is stupid lol. I feel like I’d prefer it to always stop the play and be 5 yards. The “protect your players” logic makes way more sense.

 

I mean I guess then we start talking about the whole point of being able to strategically decline a penalty, so nevermind. I don’t wanna tackle that beast haha because I do like declining penalties when it benefits ME

 

I don't know tbh I don't have a strong opinion either way but I wouldn't exactly be opposed to it just being NZI across the board and not having free plays. It does feel kinda cheesy and also if your own player gets injured on a free play it ends up looking pretty dumb. But yeah I don't have a strong opinion, it is very low on the list of things I think about in regards to NFL rules and I'm not against it being there.

 

Is anyone here willing to watch Pats vs. Jets and keep tabs of how Mac looks? I’ll be at a funeral and will have to miss the game.

I swear to god, I try to stop watching the Texans and all of a sudden I get every game they play on TV

 

Funny. I usually never got Jags games locally until now - the one time I have Sunday ticket

Tailgating is one thing but I would never sleep in my car overnight for a football game lol that’s nuts

I’m a huge football fan but shoot, I don’t even do that on tour if I can help it lol, only reason I was able to tour so much is because I am really good at making friends on the fly. I have a guest room or living room to crash in anytime in like 14 cities lol, like friends that are always willing to host me for a night unless something big comes up.

But in spite of me being hardy about a lot of things when it’s for music… I really cannot sleep in a car that isn’t moving. There have been times when I took to street performing with my merch before the show just so I could sell enough to get a motel haha

 

Browns fans tho. Going extra hard is part of it now that they’re a good team again
