I wonder if McCarthy will induct Rodgers into the hof as they remember the rare fluke of a super bowl they made it to

 

I don't want it to happen but Packers probably go 12-4 this year. Who knows what the playoffs bring but this is like 1 of maybe 3 games that they are outmatched in

 

Anyways the Packers as a franchise is outdated - while teams get more athletic and faster our dumb GM continues to think he will find value in 6th round picks while whiffing on all his first rounders. This team has no future they have no good young players. Thompson has surrounded Rodgers with zero talent and that’s why they will always flame out in the first or second rounds.

I’ve given up on the season because I know exactly how it ends and it’s frustrating to waste another prime year from the best QB in the world. They have terrible coaches.

It’s why I’m more invested in the Brewers and Bucks because they are building their franchises the right way with exciting young talent. Once Rodgers is gone the Packers will be horrible for a very long time.

The Brewers have a top 10 farm system
The Bucks have one of the ten best players in the league and he’s only 23
The Packers have an amazing QB entering the twilight of his career and nothing else

I’m spoiled I know but making the playoffs and losing in the second round sucks and I’m over it

 

You claimed the games not over yet and now you're rolling your eyes at Rodgers "padding his stats" ... so which is it?

Did you read any of his posts about the broader picture of the Packers? Because they're accurate and don't boil down to "1-1 means the season is over". That's a lazy criticism of the argument he's making.

 

I read them. He said he's given up on the season. After game 2.

 

Yeah I’ve given up on caring - I hope they do well but I’m not expecting much if anything from this team - they are frustrating to watch

 

Obviously there's a little bit of hyperbole there, but I'm reading that in the sense that they're going to make the playoffs and lose in one or maybe two games. It's so predictable at this point.

 

Except it's not predictable when it's game 2. We'll be fine.

 

We will be fine and win 10-12 games and lose to Atlanta in the playoffs - it’s not acceptable when your QB is Aaron Rodgers
