Game was actually pretty good last night.

Clowney and Atkins both had absolutely terrifying plays. Atkins with that sack where he shoved Watson into a backward barrel roll, Clowney is just fast as FUCK for his size, referring to the fumble recovery

Deshaun's 50 yard run was pretty shocking as well, but thats just because I don't watch enough college probably. Kid clearly doesn't trust the pocket at all though. Every play hes just waiting to take off.

I agree with everything you said except for the game being good

 

Eh, even if the "defensive struggle" narrative was aided by poor offensive line play, I still like those kinds of games. It was close and competitive throughout.

 

I definitely love defensive battles but yeah it seems like it was so much moreso bad play all around. It was close though, and I do enjoy games like that more than 40-0 games or something.

Yeah but neither defense was really that "lights out" either. Sure the front 7s were good but the secondaries were very flawed on both teams, lots of blown coverages.

The game that always comes to mind when I think "defensive struggle" is that 15-6 Colts/Ravens playoff game in like '06. Those offenses didn't suck
