Can clearly hear the PA saying 70 is the one eligible. At that point isn't the whole situation kinda irrevocably fucked? If they didn't announce 68 as eligible and didn't call a penalty, cowboys would have good reason to gripe.

So beyond getting refs competent enough to now fuck stuff like this up in the first place, how do you actually fix that problem if it happens?

Replay the down without either team losing yardage?

Give each team an emergency time out they can use for situations like this, but if you use it incorrectly its an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty?

 

Ready for the refs to fuck up at least another four games today just so we can do it all over again a week from now and then throughout the playoffs
