Yeah after Damar he's my #1 concern. Being the guy to deliver a hit that injures someone sucks, even though you know it's not your fault/just part of the game/etc. I can't even imagine what's going through his head.

And the guys that were all immediately around it. The bills players that watched it happen. Joe Mixon as he fell onto his leg. Etc....just awful.

 

Tim Settle lost it immediately. When I saw his reaction I knew something was wrong. I watched the replay one extra time...Dane Jackson (college teammate too) covered 5 yards in about a 1/4 of a second when he saw him fall. Dude moved with that speed you see parents hit to save their kid from a major accident. Tre White ran over fast as hell too when he saw

 

omg you're right. It looks like Settle is screaming at him in fear/agony as they're attending to him. Fuck that hurt me all over again.

 

Fuck I hope his breathing returns to normal. Worst case scenarios are running through my head with how long he was reportedly getting AED and CPR and brain function and etc.

When my dad was a teenager, he played high level competitive hockey and on a completely normal/non dirty hit he laid in a playoff game his opponent went awkwardly into the boards and broke his neck. The players on the other team didn’t even go after him because they knew it was clean, but he got death threats from parents of players and friends of the player for years afterwards. I know the incident still really bothers him today

i was in the middle of grading and prepping for tomorrows return to school and instead I ended up crying multiple times over the last 2 hours over a football game I’m not personally involved in. That’s only happened two other times and those were just over the loss of an nfccg and the win of a super bowl. Never cried over and injury before in an nfl game. Fuck.
