i mean I liked him in the draft. I was out on him by the end of year 2 though

he just does not have a scary arm whatsoever and isn’t as good at anticipating as I thought he was gonna be. He’s like a 170 yards passing kind of quarterback who I definitely would not be resigning to veteran starting QB money .

 

Am I denying it? No lol. I straight up said “yeah I liked him in the draft.” We all change our minds about players sometimes, deal with it

This is why I try not to make any definitive statements one way or another lol

 

Giants could easily give Daniel Jones a two-year deal that looks way more like a one-year deal and I think it would be absolutely fine. He’s a bridge QB. Keep him around, draft a rookie, bench him for the rookie, move on in 2024

I think Jones is a middle tier QB who has had horrific coaching thus far in his career, but is now paired with a good coach and if he’s given some decent skill players around him in the passing game I think he could be pretty decent. He’s had arguably the worst WR core around him in the league and barely had Barkley the last few years.

I wouldn’t give him a like 5 years and big money or anything crazy haha, but after this season I wouldn’t say “nah I’ve seen enough.” Do a 2-3 year contract and see how he does with some upgraded weapons
