this is very true. And even if they have a less than stellar pick in the first 2 rounds they usually make it up with a quality backup or two (or three) in the later rounds.

Idk how good Savage is and idk what safety position numbers are supposed to be so you could say that is a bit of a miss of a 1st round pick yet he is one of their starting safeties, but they get a linemen and TE in 2/3. Green Bay also seems to keep their drafted players around for their full contracts, they don’t seem to like trading or cutting people.

Edit: although 2017 draft seems like a huge woof of bad picks besides Jones hilariously enough

 

If Rodgers wins the MVP the Packers don’t win the Super Bowl, might not even make it there. Not a great track record for the MVP winner (including Rodgers himself every time he’s won the award).

 

MVP should be Taylor or even Kupp but it will go to either Brady or Rodgers

Whoa? Since when are they Saturday games in the final week of the season?

 

assuming its because the NFL historically already has those days set aside for wild card weekend games anyway, so why not, that and they want to maximize visibility for their season finale.

 

They usually try and time games out so that no team has an advantage in terms of playing earlier/later and knowing they need a win, etc. And of course, giving those teams the extra day of rest vs their opponents, etc.

Though I guess DAL/PHI already have playoff spots locked up and cant really move positions, and KC winning or losing doesnt change how TEN and CIN need to play.
