I hate to bite my tongue about the excitement of the W today since my girl is in a bit of a mood even before the Redskins let her down but i been here like this for a majority of the afternoon.
Go back and look at all the games where skins controlled their destiny the last few weeks -- fat turds every time.
Kirk didn't look great or anything but you're kidding yourselves if you don't think coaching has fucked the Redskins over consistently
Skins fans on here - i appreciate them by proxy of married into family/locale but i'm a Giants fan. REGARDLESS - curious as to true feelings on Kirk going forward. I think it's clear he has the talent to be a starter but may be a guy who needs a team around him(?). What's the critique? I doubt anyone is saying "Fuck Kirk" really rn, but I doubt any Skins fans wants to be the team who gives Kirk the most prestigious QB contact atm as well? Team got a lot more issues than Kirk/that offense, but still.
Like i don't think Kirk is Jay Cutler but a friend made that comparison once and from a different angle I can understand it? Cutty is a shit leader but has the talent. Kirk seems to try and do too much sometimes or overthink and shoot himself in the foot more so than being a bad leader/talent. As a Giants/Eli fan i mean.... that's relatable lmao.
Totally agreed. But this game highlighted several of his flaws which can't be ignored. I re-sign him if he comes to the table and negotiates fairly, not going insane on his contract though.
Yeah, that's fair. I don't think he deserves a huge contract but it seems like such a bad idea to find someone new and start over.
I stand by the idea Kirk is a solid QB and not a bad investment in keeping around at all but he needs the coaching & the team around him (aka BUILD THE DEFENSE DO YOUR OFFENSE A FAVOR, DC!) otherwise he is prone to try and do too much. Which may make for bad things, but that attitude in your QB/team leader isn't the worse mentality to have. Don't overpay to help the team build, but at the same time you don't wanna lose Kirk the way you gained Josh Norman. He may be middle of the pack but middle of the pack can still win with the right team/coach around em. Kirk has better than middle of the road talent though... so... put two and two together there...
I know @Joe4th was rooting for the Lions to make it - i forgot the others who mentioned they were rooting for the Lions to make it, I remember a few - BUT congrats Joe, you're a Lions fan right? Hope yall win tonight and get them home games. Glad to help All teasing aside I mentioned if the Giants cant I hope the Lions will.... soooo best of luck!
What is the real feel on the QB scenario in Denver rn? Still gonna be Trevor's team going into next year? Paxton get to compete?
Tbh I wouldnt even be mad at this even if the Broncos won again cus Romo is too great to end up another guy without a ring. Rival or no.
It's a huge relief that we're in no matter what. And yeah, Lions are my team haha. Would love to see them win the division tonight and get a home playoff game.
bums me out we're stuck with Osweiler for one more season when Romo would've fit perfectly next season all the pieces are always in place other than the QB, fire Rick Smith
Not shit talk one of my best friends/exs is a Texans fan and i remember her anger when Brock was signed..... Between Brock, missing out on Peyton and Romo seeming to pass by again it's gotta suck being a Texans fan cus like..... THE TEAM CLEARLY KNOWS HOW TO WIN but doesnt have the biggest cog in that machine (a QB) id be so frustrated myself.
Gimme that playoff schedule. I'll have to act fast if I need someone to cover my shift during the game next week
