My whole thing with Hurts, and this is me being level-headed about him and not just trying to fire off some goofy comment in the moment, is that he’s in his fifth year, his first on his big contract, and people are still talking about areas of concern with him.

So I’m just concerned about a possible backslide with him. He absolutely looks skittish in the pocket at times and will run into pressure/sacks. Sometimes he makes poor game management decisions. He also struggles making the correct read on RPOs at times where it results in a good play or a terrible one with seemingly no in-between.

I’m not asking him to be Joe Burrow or Lamar Jackson or Justin Herbert, but he really does need to make some improvements to his game or the contract is not going to age well.
