The throw on Tua’s last INT was so bad I can’t even tell if it was him underthrowing a comeback 12 yards downfield on the sideline

or overthrowing and throwing behind a crossing route 4 yards downfield on the hash

he assumed it was Cover 2 or man coverage way too early and didn’t remember to check if the corner followed Tyreek Hill inside or not, because Cover 2 / Cover 3 are often disguised to look like man.

so yeah basically a very textbook read that he didn’t make. The second that CB sank a few yards it should’ve been known instantly that it’s cover 3 (and if he stayed in the same spot it’s cover 2, if he followed Hill it’s 1.) should’ve been a very easy completion to Hill the second he saw that CB lean on his back foot and not follow the in breaking route. Instead he threw directly to the comeback route that the CB was sinking towards - a spot that Cover 3 is designed to take away

 

McDaniel attacks the middle of the field better than anyone in recent memory but do they do anything to attack down the seam?

just seems like alot of catch and run crossers (due to Hill/Waddle speed) where the QB isn’t really reading, he’s just waiting and placing a good ball
