I hate to be “that guy” and bring up Bill Simmons but the last few weeks he’s been talking about Brady going back to New England next year and and listed out a handful of reasons he thinks NE will be better than Tampa and one of them was “New England has better weapons” and I just about gave myself a hernia laughing. Ain’t no way someone can believe the Patriots have better offensive weapons than Tampa.

Engram and Kirk officially at career bests. Zay got there last week. ETN at 1k. Pretty pretty good.

 

Also the jury is most definitely in on Fields. Dude was always very obviously QB2. He's been good this last month and a half. Not great or elite but definitely good.

 

He has continued to be a well below average passer and I wish people would stop ignoring that just cause he puts up rushing yards

 

I still haven’t quite wrapped my head around how good completing 66% of your passes for 175 passing yards and adding 80 rushing yards at a Y/A at or higher than what you get from the most elite of RBs is in terms of actual QB worth

 

I'm still out on fields. Exciting player, but whenever I watch and he needs to drive the field to put up points, he can't get it done. Bad passes, INTs, etc. But I'll stick to my three year rule and give him next year to improve. You need better than chase claypool to throw to lol.

 

The bears need SO MUCH to properly assess Fields lol

 

I didn’t say he’s done in the NFL I said jury’s still out. He’s very high risk high reward. If he takes a leap as a passer he could be dangerous af but if he doesn’t take that leap, while he might stick around as a starter I wouldn’t wanna be the one to pay him.

right now I wouldn’t put him that far above Marcus Mariota tbh. He runs better but he turns the ball over and gets sacked more also
