The only real insightful thing Tom Brady has ever said as an analyst has been him railing against what changes to CFB programs and how Rookies are expected to play right away have really hurt their development. I think there’s a lot of truth to it and I think that’s a big reason why we’re seeing these second team resurgences.

 

And yes, I acknowledge a low bar for his life, but he’s really bad at Being an analyst

 

hasn't that always been the case though? there's a reason the teams taking QBs early are taking them early. hasn't that been a common talking point since mahomes and even back to rodgers sat their first year?

it just seems weird to be like "there's a development epidemic!" with how people like caleb and bryce have improved after year 1

 

It’s more to do with the transfer portal and constant coaching changes

 

Yeah the combo of the transfer portal and college programs continuing to simplify their offenses so QBs get to the NFL having no idea how to read the defense or go through their progressions

 

I’m too lazy to look it up but weren’t there some people in here or the nfl thread that thought Rivers was only brought on to be a mentor? lol
