Jags turning to one of the most ass football teams in the league the MOMENT they had a whiff of the #1 seed is just so priceless. So exactly canon / on brand.

this team will never change. What a fraud football team. Can’t wait to get a wild card participation trophy. Hang a fucking banner that says “started 8-3” that’s about as proud as Jags fans get to be of their team

 

I would say it’s been awhile since I’ve hated watching the Jags this much but it hasn’t! Urban Meyer was two years ago and that was even worse! Man we fucking suck. I wanted it to be over but it isn’t, same old Jags. And of course now even Trevor is turning into a corn cob and regressing

Probably should stop being a sports fan, the teams I want to win always fucking blow

 

I’m gonna continue to assert that we should have given Hopkins a heavily competitive offer, and that could’ve alleviated so many problems Trevor is having. I said it adamantly so many times this off-season. I don’t want to hear about “we couldn’t afford him” when 99% of the thread believes the cap is bullshit and easily manipulated

I feel like the dumb ass fumbles etc are a direct result of Trev trying to do too much, and putting too much pressure on himself, because of no one owning their matchups and being a dog when the football comes their way. Our receivers always getting beat by one on ones. Our linemen always getting beat by one on ones too so he doesn’t have time to wait and improvise either. We’ve seen even Mahomes play becomes a lot less productive when he suffers those same problems.

And while I still think he’s a #1 overall talent, unlike Mahomes Trevor isn’t a generational talent and he isn’t gonna carry this team by himself. I still think he can win and he can get comfortable / play cleaner and less agitated with a real supporting cast, but our OL, WRs and OC are NOWHERE NEAR as good as Doug Pederson & Jags optimists this off-season were trying to convince everybody. Not to mention Tank Bigsby is ass too so we wasted a prime pick that could’ve been that extra weapon we needed.

The whole thing just needs to be better. I like Kirk, I like Etienne, I like Engram… we still need more than that, both more leadership / dawg potential in the starting skill talent AND more depth when someone gets hurt (or assaults a woman). Ridley, honestly he looked like a flashy sports car at first but his miscommunications and liberal route running hurt Trevor just as much as he helps. He also drops way too many passes and does not make contested catches. He sucks as a WR1.

The ravens KILLED us with their fuckin backup tight end today. That’s the kind of layered, dense roster talent you need to succeed late in the season. Don’t even get me started on the defense lately, but they did their job better than the offense did today - and the offense straight up hasn’t looked reliable or truly good this entire season even despite the 8 wins and the exciting young quarterback. It’s just not good enough period.
