Lions game is over. Sucks to be that close the whole game and come up short. Weird play calling, no run game at all, defense played shitty at crucial moments, just a bad game. Regroup for next Monday and please don't let it come down to week 17 vs the Packers.
To be fair, Peterson got close the first year they had Favre. And as much as the refs fucked up on missed penalties and the Saints were real good, Peterson's two fumbles cost them the most. Especially the one at the goal line at the end of the first half.
It's totally gonna, unless the Vikings really are GB's kryptonite (which I doubt) and that really fucking sucks.
Sensabaugh has been decent for a 4th corner. Still can't believe the rams gave him that money and then cut him lol
Yeah. After how bad the Vikings looked today, there's no chance they beat the Packers. Lions likely lose their next two and miss the playoffs in heartbreaking fashion.
Favre is the only real difference, and admittedly I am holding off from saying Teddy/Sam = Schaub cus I think they're both better, and personally I'm bias since I like Teddy lmao. They're not CARBON COPY but I'm more speaking to the underwhelming largely QB play for years. Strong reliance on D & run game etc. I'm not disagreeing with ya though, I remember that game well and watching that whole Saints run (and actually being behind them) and saying "Damn they are out here killing folks." And AP has always had a case of the fumbles lol
This isn't super surprising to be totally honest. The "wisdom" (Whether it works or not we have seen both sides) behind it is time outs AND 2 minute warning. Don't force it and make the wound worse. Have faith in that Defense, which the Lions D I think have earned.
Also I'm rooting for the Giants here BUT I hope the Lions make the playoffs. They're fun to watch. Edit* my bad on the triple post folks haha
Hopefully the game being in Detroit helps. GB usually plays somewhat poorly in Detroit. And it's been like that for decades so hopefully it continues. Also hope the Lions play more like the second half of their first match up and not the first half. Hope Tate has a big day.
