Why hasn’t someone turned eggnog into “Ex-Lax, but tasty” and extended their business to a year round product?

this cant possibly be your takeaway lol the offense looked Very Good™ (teams dont score on every drive every game!!) and the WRs made some stupid good catches. the defense played against Sam Howelmao for half the game, of course they looked good.

  23. The offense stalled out last night and yeah Howell stinks but the defense got a lot of sacks and getting that INT after the turnover on downs was huge

anytime you hold a team to 13 points is Very Good and you almost always win when you give up that little

Yesterday I accidentally started yet another Trevor Lawrence debate and then took a nap so I do wanna say my actual takes. Will spoiler tag so you can ignore if you want

I do not care if he's considered good or not, I do know that he was a generational prospect and is not nearly as good as he was supposed to be, and I think that is on the Jaguars more than being on Lawrence. I do think the drop frequency is partly on his receivers and partly on him, and isn't just on the playcalling creating lackluster opportunities, though the playcalling is bad too. Doug going out of his way to blame Trevor every week doesn't help either. I think a year of picking #1 overall and a year of being in the running for Travis Hunter makes the Trevor Lawrence experiment a failure for the Jaguars, ON the Jaguars, and is why I'm sick of them getting the opportunities for all these amazing players and ruining their best years. We know how exciting these guys were in college and watch it evaporate the second they don that uniform. It's telling that their most exciting player is one they got late after missing on all of the other potential targets at the position. I hope Travis Hunter and Ashton Jeanty both go almost anywhere else, because watching that potential disappear in similar manner would be such a disappointment, and the fact that nothing has changed in the Jags office tells me nothing is going to change. There's no reason to trot out the same FO/coaching staff every week right now unless you're sending the message that what they're doing aligns with your goals in the first place. You lose nothing by firing Doug and evaluating who else you have in your coaching room for a HC opportunity in terms of how they get that room motivated week-to-week and how they can run a coaching staff as well. There's no reason to believe anything's going to change unless they send a loud, loud message, and they refuse to, so who cares what they can hypothetically do when what they've practically done is next to nothing? In summation, my posts made the impression that I think Trevor Lawrence isn't good, and that's not the message I want to send. The message I want to send is that Trevor Lawrence is one of the greatest QB prospects to ever play, and this is the result we've gotten thus far, with WRs paid this much and RBs this heavily invested in, and this OL that could clearly be a lot worse. It's a failure of a team

    The rivalry is back on

im personally indifferent to firing Doug now vs waiting until the offseason. The potential for getting some false hope from an interim HC and then delaying actually fixing the coaching problem by hiring him (ie. Antonio Pierce/Raiders, potentially Thomas Brown/Bears) cancels out any “what if there is a hidden gem on this staff” potential. So much of the difference between the Jags being a bottom barrel team and just a normal mediocre team going nowhere is in one score games, so the potential is certainly disproportionally there for that to happen

I don’t disagree with the rest though
