Why do the Cowboys continue to try this reverse play-action? That's a nice way to take an inexperienced quarterback's eyes off of the field.

I understand trying to set it up for a big play, but they are dinking and dunking off that kind of play fake. It's just weird playcalling and Oakland is ready for it.

The chain measurement system needs to go away, but I doubt that will happen for a while.

Refs brought out chains to measure a fourth down call. Refs looked at each other because the ball wasn't passed or short of the chains so head ref took out a folded piece of paper and put it between ball and chain. Because the paper touched the ball (I think?) they said first down.

 

Dallas went for it on 4th and short. Dak appeared to be short on a QB sneak.

The officiating crew brought the chains out and the head official stuck a folded piece of paper in between the nose of the football and the chain marker to determine the spot.

He gave them a first down based off of a folded piece of paper.

 

Exactly. Ugh.

 

Can they use the paper measuring tool at the goalline?
