Kenny Gainwell is change of pace back, the two-minute and four-minute drill guy, the hurry-up back. Whatever you want to call it, Gainwell is that guy. I don’t see why Swift can’t play that role. I guess the difference between the two as pas protectors is negligible, but Swift is obviously the better receiver. With that said, it largely comes down to the fact that Gainwell has been in Sirianni’s offense since 2021. He feels like they can rely on him in those situations, even if it means Swift isn’t getting as much work
I just think you’re playing with fire when it comes to Swift. His workload will always fluctuate week to week and the run game has been too inconsistent this season to rely on him
It’s a shame because I really have liked quite a bit of what I’ve seen from Swift this season. Feels like a wasted opportunity because I don’t think they’ll bring him back
I picked the over on Gainwell receptions (1.5) and he doesn’t even have 1 in a game they’re losing lol
Anyone who has actually watched the games, laid attention, and looked at the stats would know that “run the ball more” is not the answer lol
Weird how Sirianni put the backups in at the end of this blowout loss but kept them in at the end of last week’s blowout loss
I know the person is being dramatic on purpose but any NFL team would beat any college team like 100-0 lol
Forgot that KC beat the raiders a few weeks back, I thought they were on a 4 game losing streak. Only 2 games! We’re so back!
It is funny that the Browns are actually winning games now while still adding to their endless QB hydra.
They don’t deserve either unfortunately. Any team that gave up that for Watson deserves to be damned for eternity.
I forget what it’s like to get a blowout victory over the Cowboys. Lately it’s been we barely beat them in one game and they blow us out in the other
Nah, the perfect ending to this is he's ready for Week 1 next year....they start out strong, but he gets injured Week 13 (as they're like 9-3), 6-8 week injury, their new backup, Josh Dobbs, guides them to a 12-5 finish, and its in the AFC title game that Watson returns and leads them to the Super Bowl. There, they face the 49ers, who blow them out 35-0 behind the MVP performance of their backup QB, who filled in for an injured Brock Purdy in the playoffs, Baker Mayfield. Watson is indicted the next day. Would be as peak Browns as any story can be, where the second they taste greatness it collapses on them.
