I don’t hate Herbert at all. I just feel indignant towards all the Herbert stans who asserted way too early that he’s better than Burrow when he isn’t and never has been lol. It’s just funny to me that he gets all these excuses but when another elite QB struggles for any reason people are talking them down. Herbert being inconsistent = “look how inept / unlucky the Chargers are” - Lamar being inconsistent with worse starting weapons to begin with, with an OC who is worse at passing the ball, and with more injuries than the Chargers = “I don’t think he’s worth that extension”.

Everyone saying BOLT UP became mildly annoying but that vibe came back down to earth and now the Chargers just have regular hype. LAC hype doesn’t bother me as much as LAR hype did either

 

I like Herbert a lot. He’s obviously really talented and I remember seeing draft things about him being aloof and more interested in nerdy things than going out with his teammates so I continue to root for him in solidarity
I just want him off the chargers because LA doesn’t deserve him

I don't dislike Herbert. I actually like him and think hes a great player. I just hate the heaps of praise and how he NEVER gets criticized basically is all. But that isn't his fault.

 

Not to go around in circles but my entire point was I just see people on this site talk about the crazy praise and excuses for him but I don’t actually see that anywhere but I did admit I don’t really watch/read/listen to NFL related shit outside of this thread and just watching the games. So I’m just out of the loop on it probably.
