...I never said they were the worst. But the idea that New England football has never known bad is silly.
Prior to this recent string of success, The Patriots almost moved to St. Louis, The Red Sox went 86 years being haunted by a fat drunk and the Bruins didn’t bother trying because they once had Bobby Orr. We’ve known plenty of bad prior to the luck we’ve had.
And I wasn’t talking about patriots never being bad. I’m talking about people acting like their team that has been stellar for over a decade and currently in first place in their division are dogshit.
theyre not dogshit but they’re def not good either. The defense is good but can’t do much when they spend 97% of the game on the field lol. Right now would you take the Pats to beat the Chiefs, Ravens, Or Texans?
We clearly define good differently. They’re better than the bad teams, but they’re currently not close to what they’ve been or were expected to be.
There are people alive that are pats fans that have only known success. It is wild they have been so good for so long.
It is annoying that I can’t honestly critique my team this year because they’ve been good in the past. I get that they’ve BEEN historically good. But they’re not this year. That’s just kinda a fact. What have they done against any good team that’s wildly impressive? They beat a floundering Eagles team, caught bad weather against the Cowboys. They’ve been smoked by most of the AFC playoffs. They’ve beat up some bad teams and that’s it. What has been impressive?
I refuse to allow patriots fans to throw a pity party because their team might drop to 10-3 this season
