Is that the narrative of the game by itself, yes. But at this point I’m looking at every game within the context of the season. our defense fucked up. Royally. But after a season of them bailing Press out of bad game flow 80% of the time, I’d like to see it be the other way around when our defense fails us. We could’ve still won. Our defensive strategy is very aggressive and they’re not gonna play well EVERY game, particularly when Tyson Campbell is coming off an injury and then immediately expected to man cover Chase. But they’ve won us plenty of games. Imo, it was the offense’s turn to see our struggling defense and say “I got you”.
@spiffa0 Imagine if Matt Canada was still a Steeler, would you be defending him just because he scored 30 points once but still lost cause his whole offense fell apart under adversity at the end? You might be pissed in a vacuum, the day of the game, that the defense gave up 35, but in context overall, the defense is not the actual problem in Pittsburgh regardless if they had one or two awful games. You’re still overall annoyed that Canada sucks and even his good game was still incredibly frustrating at the end. That’s where I’m at.
Jags offense seemed fine until the injury. They were moving the ball pretty well. They just weren't stopping me at QB for some reason.
Yeah, the offense was perfectly fine. Beathard had two drives. One to tie the game, and one that would've gotten us the lead if not for a holding call.
