Man the Hawks look stagnant. I guess 8 of them have been sick this week. There’s definitely something going around Seattle right now. Lots of people have been out sick at work the past week.
Oooh would be interesting to know. The commentator said it was legal because he batted it backwards but clearly not. Wtf.
So, I suspect the rule is written that you cant advance the ball on offense and gain yardage from it (so, if a Seahawk catches that, it goes to where Russ batted it), but a defensive player can take possession of it without penalty. Much in the way some of those fumble-rooskie style plays stand if a change of possession happens, but if the offense recovers, it goes back to the spot of the fumble. I think the correct call would have been a flag for an illegal bat that the VIkings could enforce on the point after if wanted.
This looks like every Seahawks game I’ve ever watched. They are always such a boring team, despite how good Wilson is.
