I also don’t fucking get why we keep lining up in 7 or 8 man fronts. If you can’t trust your LBs to be in their gap assignments, a stacked box / blitz literally hurts your run defense.

It’s not any better for us to stack the box, we just give up huge plays constantly.... and it also makes you more vulnerable to big pass plays so there is literally no benefit.

How are we not adjusting and scaling back to a base defense to make sure every gap is aligned and accounted for?
