Tolzien actually played himself a decent game, but I hope I never have to see him play another meaningful down. Not sure how you're gonna win a game with him at QB when the run game is as pathetic as it was. I don't care how much the defensive game plan is around stopping the run -- Gore's 15 carries for 28 yards was a Trent Richardson-esque performance
Hargrave is impressive too. Davis has some work but came up big on the goal line on that QB scramble early on.
Skins/Boys game yesterday was great, even though we lost - it stings but I can hold my head high knowing this team can and will fight with anyone if not beat them outright. Kirk & the O Line been great, Crowder & Reed been feasting, Fat Rob will have his down days but he is looking to be a decent piece to that puzzle in the future coming up. We still are in the playoff race and I believe as a WC we could easily knock off a NFC South or North winner (though I will say those Lions probably got me the most "Err iunno they're scrappy/tough" of em all). All I will say is wherever we end up when this is all said & done. I hope resigning Kirk & suring up that defense should be 1 & 1a. I don't know all who's suppose to be out there via the draft & free agency, didn't do homework before this post but here's hoping Dickhead Dan doesn't mess that one up. (*deep uncertain breath*)
I picked Washington over them in my pick 'em last week but I was still surprised that I was right. How long until the Packers get right? Is anyone who assumes that will happen starting to lose face at this point? Has the Packers offensive scheme just been "figured out" on film and now teams know how to strategize against them until they basically change coaches?
I always looked at the Packers as a NFC Colts of sorts (at least since the Superbowl season). I think I might've said that much before so I won't revisit that point I'll just add on saying. The Colts might be able to (barely and recently not at all) get away with it in the AFC South relying on the "Well we got a HoF QB and some receviers, we don't need anything else, right?" mentality. The Packers however cannot, they have teams in the Lions & Vikings who both have looked very solid, and are in a division with pretty good-MVP candidate (Stafford) QBs. Not a recipe for consistent winning. The question I really have now is as much as Aaron is relied upon to bail them out/be their cash cow.... how much does he affect the team negatively cus all I seem to hear about him now is people saying what he isn't and does wrong rather than what he is and does right lol.
Well the packers defense is much worse than it has been in years, and that's saying a lot. We will be lucky to win 2 more games
@Randall Mentzos just break it to me now. Why should I be convinced the Jaguars will once again be the season crushing Bills loss this year
They are legit worse right now than they were at London last year so you're not gonna find that argument from me buddy. I'd say the defense could win us the game but despite doing an excellent job limiting yardage from every team aside from San Diego, they've been poor in turnovers, and obviously points allowed since the offense can't sustain a damn drive. So unfortunately we have had to continue to rely on our awfully underperforming offense. The defense has been actually really disciplined lately, and weve seen a much more effective use of blitz packages this year since changing DCs. I'm starting to think I want to keep Todd Wash after Gus Bradley leaves, even though hes Bradley's guy, hes coached every level of the defense better than Babich did last season.
I've obviously not seen Jacksonville play at all this season. Everything I read says this is a game Buffalo should win because the matchup actually favors them overall. You know, the whole "Jacksonville's pass D actually isn't that bad" argument, coupled with the fact that Buffalo would actually rather run the ball 40 times than throw it 30. Obviously having Tyrod Taylor at QB instead of EJ Manuel makes me feel better than last year. Sammy Watkins returning, even in a limited role, takes Jalen Ramsey off of one of the Bills crap depth receivers and that helps too. Losing Mike Gillislee for this game sucks though, he's such a perfect compliment to McCoy. It would just be so Vintage Bills to lose this game, at home, to a bad team. I'm just happy I sold my tickets to this game so I can sweat it out at home in peace with my son on his birthday
Ouch. Kinda wondering if I should still start Miami D if their offense can't keep the ball due to heavy pressure every down
I get it too and its awful Also the giants start at the 40 because browns kickoff is out of bounds, they get 2 yards and punt lol
Hey a good first drive from the Rams. I fully expect that to not be the case for the rest of the game.
