not gonna quote the posts but grimace and Dave did basically say that. I’m not saying they are like “reffing should be worse” I’m saying they’d accept that as a trade off if it means games are more active and fun to watch rather than stopping repeatedly to replay stuff. Very different.

I do agree that my worst moments happen when posting during game days. I don’t think that trying to imagine ways that flat out negligent, awful calls can have some oversight is insane and irrational, but that the way my points are misconstrued often sounds insane and irrational (Randall can’t admit Trevor sucks / Randall wants games to take 5 hours and to review every play / Randall thinks Shedeur is gonna run for 1000 yards, etc) and that’s what people respond to instead. Which is the reason why I try to re-explain myself. Even at the end of the argument people were clearly still not getting what I was saying.

My attempts to “double down” are not about trying to be the smartest guy in the room, its the inverse of that - it’s to be understood better so people don’t run away with a misconception of what I’m saying that makes me look like the DUMBEST guy in the room lol

 

The Jags being 7-4 feels like a mistake

to me it feels like a good defense and running game bailing out a bad quarterback and an over aggressive coach that has too much faith in that quarterback

 

I do keep hoping the old Trevor will come back when things start to really click in this new offense, and when all his weapons are healthy, but the likelihood of that actually happening seems to dwindle every game. It’s been 12 weeks and he hasn’t even had ONE really good clean game yet

 

If Trevor cuts his hair he becomes a top 5 qb

 

Conversely if he has a ponytail era he becomes a bottom 5 backup but a top 10 TE

 

I don't get the vibe Liam has that much faith in Trevor lol

He got baited so bad and threw to the only guy who wasn’t open because he predetermined his read pre-snap lol. This one just inexcusable

 

All 3 INTs were amazing plays by the defender but also Trevor’s gotta know it’s possible for guys to cover that kinda ground in the NFL and be more consistent about looking off defenders, pump faking to avoid tips at the line, and expecting DBs and LBs to fake one direction and go the other.

 

I do, we’re going for it on 4th down a lot and he’s been telling him to not shy away and just “let it rip” (cue 3 interception game)

 

I think he simply isn't good at reading a defense. Dude has like one bone headed pick almost every game

 

I think he reads defenses ok but is easy to bait. That’s how all 3 picks felt. Once a defender goes one direction he too quickly assumes they’re out of the play - and doesn’t give enough credit to these defenders being smart enough to read route combinations rather than just one route, and do that on purpose

 

The part of Trevor that’s more infuriating to me is he used to be good at ball placement and pocket presence, what the hell happened to that lol.

Some QBs don’t learn how to be a step ahead of the defense mentally with pump fakes and look offs until later in their career (see: Darnold, Baker, etc) but the fundamental shit should not be an issue anymore, and the fact that it is is a clear sign he’s regressed because we never surrounded him with good line or receivers (much like Darnold on the Jets / Baker on the Browns)
