Not enough is made of, essentially, first quarter playcalling. I always hear from analysts and beat writers that the first ~15 plays of the game are scripted, then coaches go off script from there based on how the game is going.

I will always be pro-Doug and anti-Press, but to act like Doug doesn’t play a role in designing the offense and scripting the plays with Press throughout the week is a bit naive to me.
