also, tanking doesn't magically solve all our problems. You're just taking a gamble that isn't worth it

I’m on board with this. I would like a good football team, which means some combination of:

1) the current iteration of the team wakes up, is good, and goes on an improbable run to the playoffs

2) the young players on the team perform well regardless of record and they have a good foundation for next year

3) they figure out the QB position in the offseason, and a better draft pick makes that more likely, so it’s not the worst thing if they take a few Ls once they’re out of playoff contention
