That right there was another example of what I mean: Metcalf is getting a ton of targets but he has not been efficient with them, and he is not that good at contested catches. I am sorry but a 6’4” 235 lb receiver should’ve had that ball all day

Pretty funny that i was right about him... he may have gotten underdrafted but he was not a top 15 talent. Solid rookie receiver but more of a workout warrior than someone who knows how to USE his athleticism.

His sophomore year should be better. I just don’t like the idea of drafting a raw receiver in round 1. No matter how much of an athletic beast your receiver is, doesn’t mean shit if they don’t know how to get open and win at the catch point. Players like Metcalf and DJ Chark are better off as second round WRs since there’s no guarantee that they’ll pick up all the detailed nuances of the position.
