Like; this isn’t Andre Johnson punching Cortland Finnegan, that made sense. This was just a brutal attack.
Why does it matter? What happened is a disgrace to the NFL. If Garrett hits Rudolph with the other side of the helmet, his head splits open. Garrett is a lot luckier than people realize.
Doesn’t that just depend on the severity of this injury? I mean, if he had hit him with a different part of the helmet it could have been, no?
Yeah, I went back and watched the Haynesworth/Gurode thing trying to remember how bad it was; its bad, but the actual kick isnt that rough looking...til you remember Gurode got 30 stitches. If that helmet makes contact with Rudolph's face instead of the top of his head, the only image leading off all coverage tomorrow is Rudolph's face looking like he got out of Hell in a Cell.
*clutches pearls* but what if this was Final Destination 64 and people are made of jelly and he died?!?!? What then?????
There's a potential for life-altering injury on literally every single play of a football game. Rudolph is fine, dudes doing press conferences
This is honestly such a dense statement that it makes me wonder if you’re the one that got hit in the head with a helmet.
I once was a witness in an “Assault With A Deadly Weapon” case. The weapon was spit. A helmet is obvs worse lol
Garrett’s definitely gotta be done for the season and this was bad enough to be a “one strike and you’re done” kinda thing if the NFL were so inclined
Yeah it doesn’t help his case that the entire NFL community is throwing him to the wolves, rightfully so.
I’ve been closely following football for nearly 15 years watching dozens and dozens of games per season and I’ve never seen something like that. Garrett is an asshole and is lucky the injury didn’t crack his head open. I can’t imagine him not being suspended for a long, long time.
I was shocked last night by how the refs couldn’t just end the game with eight seconds left. Should have gotten everyone out of there immediately. If that went down in Pittsburgh it could have gotten even horrifically worse with the crowd getting involved
That was so awful. Garrett deserves 16 games. Could've been so, so much worse. Also, in how is this a real stat: this is the first season the Browns have beaten the Steelers and Ravens
Also if we’re talking suspensions, can we suspend Troy Aikman for saying “hello!” when Garett swung lmao
I'm pretty sure Pacman Jones got no suspension for taking off Amari Cooper's helmet and hitting his head against it. Hopefully this is handled better
