I mean the broadcast and officiating was abysmal but that can happen any where lol

 

I had no issues at all with the broadcast and the officiating was much better than it was last night at least haha

 

Even if it’s “only” an ankle sprain he will probably still miss anywhere from 3-6 weeks which is enough time to tank the season with how difficult the schedule gets

for a travel game like that, first game of the season, that was an incredibly entertaining game to watch, and was definitely a success lol

Yes. A single play fluke injury means an international game wasn’t a success.

 

I mean the NFL is so big they can play anywhere and the game can have any outcome and it’ll still do big numbers if it’s in prime time

I’m obviously disillusioned with it since Jordan Love got injured

 

I mean I did think the field looked awful before I knew about the injury (the game was on at my friend’s show so I caught a bit of it). I do think the NFL needs to do better at ensuring players are in safer conditions than that. People in here were saying as much during the early Eagles drives/mistakes. While the entertainment factor seemed good I do think I wouldn’t call it a success, I feel like subjecting players to that kinda sucks and I put that more on the league than anyone else

 

The NFL 100% should be doing a better job at field conditions, that’s for sure

but at times that field probably isn’t much worse than like the Commanders lol which says more about the NFL allowing them to have their field that way but that’s beside the point. NFL definitely needs to do a better job at field conditions anytime they travel to special one off games. As far as a spectacle and driving international interest, it is 100% a success. The league needs to do better at making sure that it’s a success both on field and off field though. Definitely isn’t fair to the players to play in poor conditions that can be avoided.

And honestly, taking away anything from either team last night would be super difficult. That much travel, first game of the season, those teams were cooked from the start. The fact we got an entertaining game at all was a miracle given the circumstances lol

Yeah at the end of the day the teams carried that game from what I can see (which is what one would expect haha but there are some BAD intl matchups), it's tough to speak on since I didn't watch it all but keeping up with it was a blast
