1-0. Sloppy first game, but expected that with very little players playing preseason. Defense looked a lot better at times, still work to do there. Arnold was solid in his debut. I know he had PI penalties but overall I thought he had a good debut. Jamo has arrived. Having an actual deep threat opens this offense up even more and I’m excited to see it when everything is clicking and not just him and Montgomery lol was very nervous for Bates based on his preseason but that was a good start to his season too overall, a win, couple frustrating points that I’m hoping are just first game rust. The 3rd quarter continuing to be their worst still is worrisome and I don’t understand why this team always comes out flat after the half.
- Very happy for Kenyon Green, looking like he took his off year seriously - Refreshing to have a running game once again - Safety unit needs to be better, specifically Jimmie Ward. Play Bullock more. - LB unit wasn't as exposed as I'd thought they'd be in this one... To'oto'o held his own, good for him. - Stroud wasn't as sharp as usual but the stat line was still good, with a few clutch throws mixed in... pure dawg. - Diggs showed his value on underneath routes, sneaky 2 TD game - Nico Collins. That's it.
PFF graded Kenny Gainwell better than they did Saquon Barkley which tells you everything you need to know about PFF
