I quit drinking soda this summer, I just drink unsweetened tea, coffee, and water for the most part. Still fuck with Red Bull in the morning though, ADHD habits go brrrr
AJ Brown was just so interesting to me as a draft prospect 1) He was exceptional at baseball too, to the point he fell stupidly to the mid second round because teams weren’t sure he was actually going to commit to football 2) He dominated at Ole Miss for 3 years straight - but DK Metcalf posts one picture of himself looking like the Hulk shirtless and all of a sudden he was the more hyped prospect from that school. Wtf lol. Brown clearly was a better route runner the whole time 3) He is legit built like a running back. He’s not only elite at jump balls. He’s 6’1”, 230 pounds, and stocky. He breaks tackles. He has a low center of gravity. Eagles got mf Adrian Peterson out there running routes. Imagine having to tackle that guy if you’re a CB. He’s quicker AND way stronger than you. By the way go catch a black bear with your bare hands. 4) I always laughed at the Titans underusing him as a glorified drag route / slant receiver whose main job was to take pressure off Derrick Henry. But I kinda think the Eagles are STILL underusing him by NOT doing that and mostly just sending him vertical. Dude could have 1800 yards receiving if they worked in some more YAC touches in there as well. Brown is a beast I wanted to draft him in fantasy so bad but picked too late
they’re both awesome receivers but AJ is a tier above Metcalf. He’s literally better than Metcalf at what Metcalf does, but also with the ability to kill you on a lot more routes than Metcalf lol
I admittedly wasn't super plugged into the draft process in 2019 and I agree AJ rocks on the field, I just don't know how true this is JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Parris Cambell and Andy Isabella were drafted between AJ and DK lol
He’s a better straight line athlete but those agility numbers were very concerning. Thankfully it didn’t matter much and he’s good “enough” at route running to be able to position his body, all he needs to be productive
100% agreed, especially on his utilization. Watching him during his years with the Titans…I loved the way he was utilized, but I also always felt he was capable of more and I know some analysts agreed. That’s why when the Eagles traded for him I thought he had a real chance to pop off. He still runs a good bit of slants here, but I wish they’d line him up in the slot more and get more YAC opportunities going for him. I do expect him to operate out of the slot a bit more in Kellen Moore’s scheme than he has here the last two years, but I’m hearing some rumblings that DeVonta Smith may be seeing the larger uptick in slot work…not that I think he’s going to run an overwhelming amount of his routes from the slot, I just think it could be closer to a 50/50 split maybe
Metcalf would have absolutely gone higher had he had better medical entering the draft. I think he was actually off the Eagles’ draft board, for example, but don’t quote me on that
Stingley shadowing Pittman makes a ton of sense; I’m assuming Downs misses the game, and I’d want to make AR have to beat yall with some combo of AD Mitchell, Alec Pierce, and the collection of mediocre TEs if I were game planning it. I’m mainly just hoping that IND does a very good job keeping HOU on their heels in the run game so they can’t just sell out to stopping JT and put it all on AR to create everything The secondary for IND is obviously my biggest worry. Kenny Moore can’t cover all of Nico, Diggs, and Tank, and the safety spot opposite Blackmon is a mess until proven otherwise, so I’m expecting to get absolutely rung up by Stroud
If anyone’s benefitting from a “mess” at one safety position while Kenny Moore is most likely tasked with taking away Nico or Stefon… it’s Dell.
Dude, I will never forget thinking he was going to have a fourth touchdown at the end there and then also thinking “oh my god, please tell me he did not get hurt” lol
Yep, I think stopping JT kinda dictates how this game ends up... With Harris out this could be a heavy dose of Pitre at the Nickel and see how it goes... that would also get Bullock on the field and maybe we'll see some Adonai vs Bullock action for any deep shots Indy does..
