I just don’t really understand what y’all are so upset about lol. I admitted I was wrong and didn’t know that pressure affected the rule, me saying I just don’t like it after that and explaining why shouldn’t be ruining anyone’s morning. Dustin made some good points about how theoretically the defense can still get there and I conceded that that’s true as well.

 

I'm not upset but if we're just laying it out there I think your problem is with Brady and not the application of the rule. If Trevor Lawrence did it you'd call him a savvy vet.

 

Because you were doing the exact thing others have said previously they find annoying lol

I mean, I know you know football well enough where you don’t need to be informed “the defense can create pressure quickly, disguise coverage schemes or get their hands up at the line.” You were just doubling down on a silly argument.

you guys are assuming this before you’ve seen me watch one Trevor Lawrence football game. I in fact plan to go into it being very fair about things I have disliked in the past, and I do have a feeling Lawrence is gonna get some leeway to do grey area things because of his reputation.

 

Just cheer for one of them very loudly.

Say what you will but the entire Flacco Era ravens offense was infinitely more grey area than throwing the ball away haha

 

I’m saying Lawrence is probably gonna get calls his way and I’ll have to admit “yeah that call was iffy, I could easily see that being a penalty” lol what is wrong

 

I took it as you calling throwing the ball away a grey area, which it’s not, but if I misunderstood then nothing is wrong at all lol

Well. I admitted the things I was wrong about and explained why the rule still rubs me the wrong way in spite of that. Nobody was rude, nobody acted out, the discussion remained civil even though my opinion apparently irks people. It’s fine haha

Apparently Trev has no training wheels / watered down play calls this year. Jags gave him their entire playbook this summer and said “study up, we drafted you because you can handle it.”
