So we’ve found a loophole that allows intentional grounding for clock management purposes… and I’m suggesting that loophole should be closed because it contradicts the whole point of the rule - to give the defense a fair chance to pressure the QB
The whole point of the rule is to avoid giving the QB an easy out of a sack, it never had anything to do with clock management, that’s literally why “when a qb is facing pressure” is at the heart of the rule
I’ve found a loophole to get around tax fraud: pay your taxes accurately. Hope they close this loophole and end taxation.
If it’s not technically in the rule but it contradicts the whole point of the rule… then the rule needs to be modified fine I was wrong by the book he needs to be under pressure. I do wish they’d change it though because if a defense can’t honestly pursue you then you can’t honestly run routes, that’s the way to make it fair and that’s why spike formation even exists
I just don’t think you should be allowed to throw away a play instantly unless you’re not trying to have your cake and eat it too by also trying to catch the defense off guard
This is one of those moments where your salty Brady got a win and making a silly argument and then doubling down and I wish you’d just stop haha
Why do people have a hard time being like “Yeah I hate this guy so every time he succeeds I gotta like trick my brain into hating him more lmao”
When a RB has a clear lane to the end zone but takes a knee at the 1 that should be a penalty right? It’s contradicting the spirit of a play in the hopes of manipulating the clock no?
I was having a fine time with the game until the call lol you didn’t see me complain before that other than “FUCK AB” cause Brown is an abuser
Taking a knee to runout the clock also denies the defense an opportunity to make a play and also manipulated the clock haha
Wouldn’t the penalty run time off the clock too or is that only certain offensive penalties during that time period cuz that’d be funny
