yesh I mean we are accustomed to saying this but it still leaves a sour taste in my mouth that the shoe is never on the other foot always Brady’s team getting the calls, or not
Cowboys literally left at least 7 points on the field and had one minute to not allow 50 yards. The loss is entirely on them.
Dallas lost by 2 and Zuerlein missed a point blank FG and a XP. Gotta erase the room for error from officials bullshit or whatever
Doubling down, if they don’t call that Safety pats are only down 2 and not 4 and only need a field goal to win, not a TD and prob have 7 rings haha
They’re lucky Godwin can’t catch or not fumble or else this isn’t even a game in the second half. They got what, 4 turnovers and lost? Yeah it wasn’t a push off call on a back shoulder throw that decided the game
i just think the two things are separate haha. Yeah Cowboys should’ve won and had the ability to win with that game narrative. Also still salty about the OPI
There’s opportunities in every game and very rarely do refs alone swing NFL games. Lions fans obviously have a different experience with that but yeah that’s the sport man. Sometimes calls are bad or missed and you have to protect yourself from that. It sucks we can’t have perfect officiating but nitpicking every game and you might as well throw away the season.
doesnt make it any less of a slap in the face to fans though, consistent officiating would erase any alternate reason to be unsatisfied with the outcome
It wasn’t even that clear of a push off and that play on the back shoulder happens all the time and isn’t called
There are people in this thread that could see a clearly correct dpi called in that exact situation and still say it was only called because Tom Brady was throwing
That wasn’t my take at all, my take is that you can erase room for error by playing better elsewhere so when bad calls like this come up they aren’t deciding your whole game. But whatever
Again, it “just happens sometimes” unless it’s Brady (and sometimes Rodgers), that’s my main issue. Incidental mistakes are alright but after 22 years of Brady from the Tuck Rule onward, it’s hard to look at it continuing to happen like that
