Eh. This isnt the Ravens thumping the Dolphins who might not be Top 25 ranked in NCAA ball. This is beating a team that went 9-6-1 last year, that featured a top 10 defense against both the run and past and if anything, got better on defense this offseason. And beating them in dominant fashion that made them look like the Dolphins.
Eh, this felt like an Arians-type game where they gave up on the run early. Basically all of Conners runs and yardage came in the first 20mins of the game. And for whatever reason, twice we couldn't convert 3rd-and-1. Aside from the late 2017 game, that was pretty common for Bell too, who would have like 16 carries for 60-70yds, and mostly do work in the pass game. The 2nd drive where we just moved backwards seemed to just kill the team for the rest of that half edit: I see two carries in the entire second half looking at the play-by-play
I know close to nothing about football but this is the first time in my three years in Pittsburgh not seeing black and yellow everywhere before during and after opening game. Someone mentioned the game at work and got shooshed lolll
The nice thing about having 2 MNF games is that there’s the one I care about that will be entirely on while I’m awake, and then there’s one I don’t care about after it to fall asleep to
Imagine watching that game and coming away from it thinking Bell would have made all the difference lmao
Each game would take a ratings hit because the first game is too early for the west coast and the second game is too late for the east coast
Good point. I'll be watching the first game for sure because it's on at 6:10 my time, but I will only watch a little of the second game since that starts at 9:20.
