Nah, this is just a weak line of logic that’s more, team self deprecation than based in reality Teams don’t go to the AFCCG calling games like that
Confirmation bias. It wasn’t true even 40% of the time. You’re looking for times it was true in games that we lost.
"Confirmation bias" = stating a fact??? I'm looking at the biggest game in the history of the franchise. I can't think of a more important time to display your talents. Hackett, in the biggest game of his career, choked. That worries me.
Yeah? And how many coaches DONT choke against Bill Belicheck and his referees in Gilette? Like Jesus dude you’ll probably find something else to be negative about even if we win the big game. Gets so old sometimes. We lost to the GOAT QB and coach in their stadium in foreign weather with the help of some really unfair calls. Big whoop.
Not that many actually. Not that many teams beat BB like we did in that first half so most don't get the opportunity to choke. Atlanta did, sure. You'd think that we would've watched that game a bit more carefully. Doug Pederson also LITERALLY said his coaching inspiration in the Super Bowl was watching the Jags fuck up lol.
The Patriots literally needed like 3 or 4 false PI calls to catch up. I’m not mad at us for that loss. I’m pissed those refs still have their jobs, and are going to do it again in the playoffs in Gillette this year, when another team is ahead of the Patriots fair and square. We were trying to run the clock out, and we could have if Brady didn’t get handed three 30-50 yard bombs. If our 100% legit defensive TD wasnt ruled “down by contact” when no one touched him the WHOLE PLAY. Do you not remember that shit. After that happened, it was already the 4th quarter. Marrone is a momentum / ball control coach, his strong suit of course isn’t putting up quick yards suddenly at the end of the game. Especially with the refs just straight up fucking with us. We have weaknesses but you’re overdoing the criticism.
I’m not about to revisit the AFCCG like “oh we sucked we fucked up.” Fuck that completely. Any team having a good game would lose momentum under those circumstances. Very touchy subject for me, fuck the Patriots, yeah our second half playcalling was timid and had no balls, but that’s nowhere near telling the whole story of why we lost.
Do you have any replays of the bad calls? I barely remember the 4th quarter of that game because I was drunk as hell.
from what i remember there was a lot of PI called when it wasn't PI and non-calls when there should have been, ofc nobody knows what a catch is anymore, and just really bad penalties for "roughing the ________" when these guys are literally just playing the game. it's fucking tackle football you cannot gently tackle someone. it's so absurd.
I just don't get the Ravens. They honestly must be hoping for Hurst to get pushed through Flacco's ACL again. I would have understood Hurst starting at LG over Lewis or Hurst at LG and Lewis at C, but Hurst over Brown at RT is just stupid.
i think it's pretty dumb and pointless. the yellow line is fine. i don't understand the need for another color. i already know where they have to get to.
why didn't the Falcons run any slants with the receivers in the red zone? Packers and other teams have been doing that shit for years and score constantly. Falcons have everyone run to the back of the end zone and stand there waiting 85% of the time. also - how big was that missed XP and not going for the FG on the opening drive? that alone would have changed the final drive (if the rest of the game plays out the same way)
It's to make the line of scrimmage more defined than the white or blue line they've used in the past.
did the green stay on the field during the play? i didn't even notice lol i am surprised Al and Chris didn't talk about that 500 times last night. although they were busy with the fucking philly philly bullshit, so i understand.
Everyone in the bar I was at last night was losing their minds over the Philly Special. Best moment of the game
