NBC has improved their game display more than the NFL has actually improved it's fielded product.

 

Thursday night games are generally terrible, but it is basically unwatchable.

 

I also think a lot of it has to do with lack of pre-season reps - the first game is basically the starters cramming in the first four weeks of pre-season
