So now the story all week/year will be “Can the Patriots overcome the big loss and big injuries?” and then they will still win the damn Super Bowl.

 

I honest to god had a friend pick Miami vs Green Bay for the Super Bowl in our league today.

 

wasn't the last team to stomp on the Patriots the Chiefs? is it too soon to say they might just have their number? even if the Chiefs themselves aint as accomplished or on the same level as the Pats as of the moment? (all respect Chiefs fans)

I'm not dumb enough to say this predicts anything but I remember that other Chiefs/Pats game and they just seem to match up REALLY well.

 

Andy Reid has to be the best coach to have never won a Super Bowl, right?

 

Yeah but the Patriots from that blowout versus the team in this blowout is tons different. The Pats have no great wideout options and their defense is atrocious especially if Hightower misses any extended time

Oh I'm not saying they're mirror images, I just think the Chiefs match up well and even they know that cus they have the defense, the run game and even the QB who minimizes mistakes. The Patriots are definitely in need of a more solid defense and that has always been key to their greatest successes though, I will agree there.

1 game though, just a thought thrown out there all together. Still think Patriots are cream of the crop level and the Chiefs are that next rung down aiming to prove themselves otherwise. But if anything, the "Young upstart" angle is always fun.

 

I just can’t believe the Pats defense gave up almost 400 yards to Alex Smith lol
