I barely lost every bet lol the good news is the promotional money is gone so I’m done with sports betting. I think the worst one was I would have won $50 if Boston Scott rushed for 10 yards. He had like 8 in the first quarter and then nothing.

 

Any bet on Boston Scott was a bad bet from the start. Hurts, Sanders, and Gainwell have been getting more run than him for basically the entire season

According to Next Gen Stats, for whatever it's worth, the Eagles played man coverage on 55% of their snaps. Of course, Gannon is not known to blitz and quite enjoys just calling the same type of defense over and over hoping for different results. JuJu mentioned in the post-game press conference that they were planning to take advantage of how often the Eagles secondary passes off responsibilities to each other in quarters coverage. It's why Kelce, Toney, and Moore all scored easy touchdowns in the red zone. They were put into motion and put the defense into binds as they were trying to pass off responsibilities and were often caught flat-footed.

But why would Gannon adjust throughout the game? I mean, it makes too much sense.

 

Can't believe anyone would actually try blaming the players for the poor defensive performance when Mahomes and the Chiefs running game were doing whatever they wanted from the start. I mean, Mahomes was getting rid of the ball in less than 2.5 seconds more than half of the time all game. Maybe Gannon should try disguising coverages for a change and making Mahomes actually think for once instead of letting him throw to his first read for most of the game.

 

What a fucking waste of the great seasons so many players on this defense had this season. Eagles aren't gonna set a league-record in sacks again next year. Bradberry is likely gonna be gone, Slay is likely gonna regress in his age-32 season, and who the hell knows what happens with Edwards and Gardner-Johnson.

So many players on this defense had career-best seasons and Gannon fucking blew it for them.

 

Yeah that’s what sucks. This was an all time great performance from the defense this season, it’s very unlikely to happen again, and it was wasted. Ugh.

So fucking depressed this morning. I haven’t had to deal with “eagles losing the super bowl” feelings in almost 20 years. And to have it come so close to the Phillies losing the WS. Just so brutal.
