I kinda do agree that the Eagles gameplan has to be to put some serious pain in Mahomes. Yeah he'll play through it but the pressure is exactly how they ended up fucking up Brady to prevent the comeback. They can't just wait for him to make a mistake. I also don't think any of that will happen though.

 

That was one of the funny things about "the league is rigged for the Patriots" stuff that always popped up because like...if the league was rigging things for a team Peyton Manning would have 194 Super Bowls and Aaron Rodgers woulda gotten to the dance more than once lol.

Yeah I’ve been listening to my usual Eagles pods and I’m still gathering all my thoughts. Accidentally posted so hold on lol

I think it will be a good game. I think the Eagles’ best chance of success is running the piss out of the football with Saquon, not turning the football over, relying on their defense to end some drives or even turn the football over themselves. If the Hurts from the NFCCG or the last super bowl shows up, that’s icing on the cake.

What I’m afraid of, besides Mahomes, is Spags and Chris Jones. Dickerson and Jurgens are certainly both at less than 100% and Becton is their worst OLman (but he’s still be solid/good). I think Hurts is going to be under pressure and Spags is gonna cook some good shit up. Hurts has been at his worst under pressure and when he holds onto the ball too long

 

With that said, and I’ve said this all season, the Eagles have all the talent they could ever need on both sides of the ball. Saquon, Brown, Smith, and Goedert? That offensive line? There’s no excuse for Hurts and the coaching staff not to show up and make a game out of it.

The defense has been lights out for much of the season. Carter can wreck games, but I’m worried if he gets blanked by Trey Smith or gets double-teamed by him and Creed Humphrey. Won’t be surprised if Carter gets a lot of attention so guys like Milton Williams, Nolan Smith, and Josh Sweat are going to need to show up. I’m confident in the back seven though.

I think the defense can shut some Chiefs drives down. Just one or two, that’s all they need, then the offense needs to do its job.

 

Actually I lied I do want to hold Josh and only Josh accountable for all the words/actions of chiefs players and fans.
