The take that there's nothing worse than losing the super bowl is very dumb

Truly did not think this outcome was in the bag for the Eagles, or at least not the most likely. I always believed that this team had the talent to win it all, but I was not convinced they could actually do it with the way last season ended with all the drama there was. There was a legit possibility that this team could win the super bowl and a legit possibility that Sirianni and the many coaches would get fired. I thought this team would have a winning season, make playoffs, maybe win a game or two, but that was about it.

I’m happy that I was wrong. Thrilled, even. I love this team so much and I’m so happy that these players and coaches get to bring home the lombardi trophy. It was tough not to feel like their loss to the Chiefs a couple seasons ago was missed opportunity. It’s rare for teams to even make the super bowl, let alone make it back, so with the way things ended last season I just didn’t believe in this outcome.

I was wrong and, god damn it, I’m glad I was. I just wish my grandparents on my dad’s side were both able to hang around long enough to watch both of them.
