I just hate that they blew it. Even just making in this far on paper is a win, but sucks to get so close cause even though there is good reason to think they'll be better on paper next year... still sucks to waste a golden opportunity as possibly making another superbowl
My wife, who did not say a word the entire game, just turned to me and said "whales die because they get too old to come up for air and then drown"
Are you saying that RBs shouldn't make the HOF? Or that there are better candidates from his generation than CMC? Cause in my mind, if you're the best player from your position for a given era, you should make the HOF. And CMC is definitely one of the best RBs from his generation.
Ok packers had multiple almost picks against purdy including that sure thing pick six in the first half. Game should’ve been well in hand
my cousin just said to me "love was trying to play like mahomes but ended up like uncle rico" trying to find the lie
Bears and Vikings probably thought they had another year or two to pull it together before the packers got good again
Yeah that's what makes losses like this so tough. You can probably list a dozen of things that if they had just done a bit differently they would've won. So putting all the blame on the kicker is honestly kinda nuts. Especially because even if he makes it, San Fran still scores the TD. And SF quite possibly still gets the ball back in regulation.
Eh, this is how you get Joe Namath and such in the HOF when they're so laughably not worthy. The NFL changed in the last 2 decades; RBs dont last as long and they rarely operate as 90+% carry a game bellcows. So thats how you end up with a Derrick Henry, probably the closes thing we have to a throwback RB, with the same stats as Clinton Portis (a RB, I imagine we'd all agree, is not HOF worthy). Its gonna mean a lot more DBs and linemen and WRs make the HOF over RBs; and chances are we'll see only 1 or 2 RBs a decade even have a shot.
Derrick Henry 100% belongs in the HOF though, right? Because you're not comparing his stats to Clinton Portis, you're comparing his stats within the era he played. Henry was one of the best RBs of his era, he belongs in the HOF. Portis was not, he doesn't belong. The actual status don't matter.
lol maybe but I never expected them to win in the first place it was either gonna be a blowout or a heartbreaker I will never see this Packers team beat the Niners in the playoffs in my lifetime again
I’m a yes on Henry, a probably on CMAC and a no on anyone else. WRs for me is tough because there’s SO many good ones now with no real big gaps between them so it’s like “am I really gonna let in 15 WRs from every era?”
