This is why Eagles fans (and Philly fans in general) should be more understood…they/we’ve mastered the art of both expecting the worst for our teams and always assuming what can go wrong, will go wrong, while ALSO still being completely devastated and angry when they lose anyway, like we expected them to win the whole time.

For a WR1 he’s bad. He makes mistakes a lead WR shouldn’t make

 

Not already having a top 3 player at his position on our team and not drafting an abuser

 

Kirk can be “good” when we draft somebody to supplant him and he takes the second wideout role

Christian Kirk is a bottom ten WR1 in the league

he’s at his ceiling and it’s still not quite good enough. He’s dropping a 60 yard DIME in the playoffs

 

He also made mistakes earlier this season where he fell away from the ball instead of attacking it in the air and allowed an interception

 

If Hurts comes out with moms spaghetti down the front of his jersey, watch out…he’s about to lose himself in the moment

I mean, plenty of awesome WRs drop passes too. I just don’t think Kirk does anything particularly well enough to consider him a WR1, which is fine! He’s a good player and I think is best suited to be a WR2. Calvin Ridley, if ready to roll, will make a huge difference for this entire team next year. It’ll be a domino effect

 

I was gonna type out a long snarky comment aimed at people that complain about ref bias but I deleted it because I don’t want this to be a mean place lol

 

My WR1 was Davante Parker.

 

we are talking about the top 22 wide receivers in the world. Kirk ain’t one of them and I don’t care if Trevor forced him to have WR1 looking numbers cause his other options were even worse
