why do teams still insist on playing zone against the Pats?

 

Rivers will never win a SB.

This game sucks.

 

Because if you play man to man, James White and Julian Edelman absolutely dominate your slot corners and linebackers

 

Zone is better but you gotta be able to play the run from different zone looks in order to beat the Patriots

 

Rivers looks like garbage

You know who does that very well? The Eagles. Hence why they won last year

 

It did in the SuperBowl last year. Cause the Eagles actually mix up their zone looks a lot and still play the run well even when they’re calling zone

I’d also say from personal experience, the refs are able to give the Pats way more calls when you play man to man

 

But they never controlled the game script

NE found ways to be productive but the Eagles dictated how the Pats would have to attack, not the other way around
